Nathan celebrated his 29th birthday on March 3. We all went out to Gunnarson's cabin with friends to celebrate and us girls made dinner. We had wild rice soup, pork roast on the Ronco Rotisserie grill ("just set it, and FORGET it!") and I made my famous mashed potatoes. Well, I like to think they're famous. Because, you know, I've made them, like twice. And Nathan liked them. So that must mean they're famous, right? The evening was topped off with a big birthday cake that we made for Nathan and Kevin (his birthday was the following Monday) filled with candles and sprinkles. I put way too much frosting on and you couldn't eat a piece without it crumbling all over the place.
Goal for next month: learn how to make my "famous" birthday cake a little bit more edible.
